Park Air Training

For over 50 years Park Air has offered comprehensive training on the installation, operation and maintenance of our equipment.

In 2016 we opened the doors to our Park Air Academy, which has allowed us to expand our training capability, offering a range of courses on ATM related subjects.

Courses For Professionals

We offer training courses specifically designed for professionals responsible for the acquisition, installation, support and maintenance of ATM communications systems.

Our focus is to help you provide a reliable voice and data communications service between ‘pilot and ground’. The courses will ensure that your staff are well equipped to monitor, maintain and grow your systems while responding to changes in the local environment.

This includes the transition to full IP communications, without interrupting service, whilst continuing to support legacy equipment.

Training Capabilities

Courses are developed by our technical experts, including product design specialists and field support staff. Our courses are delivered by professional trainers with extensive ATM communications experience.

Park Air modular courses use building blocks to create targeted learning experience for every customer and every level of knowledge; bespoke training courses are available on request. Park Air trainers use the latest blended learning techniques, utilising varied delivery methods - theoretical, practical, demonstration and e-learning. The mix of media can be a bespoke selection for each customer’s requirements, from beginners to advanced learners.

Formal and informal assessment options are available - feedback for the contracting body and documentation for the student; options for formal validation and certification against competency standards.

The Training Academy

The Park Air Academy is a bespoke training facility, offering comfortable and uninterrupted learning for students in a modern environment.

The facility includes fully equipped classrooms; demonstration communication systems; space for networking and coffee breaks; and multi-faith quiet room.

The training academy is adjacent to our main manufacture and development facility, meaning that our students can benefit from access to subject matter experts on all aspects of ATM communications.

Courses can include an insight into the rapidly emerging area of ED-137 VoIP, offering both theory and practical elements.

RF Principles and Communications Systems
A set of courses designed for ATM maintenance engineers and technicians responsible for communications equipment from any vendor.

The courses give an appreciation of mutual interference of RF equipment, the mitigation of this and the measurement of real world performance at a full communications system level.

Cybersecurity for ATM Professionals
Courses specifically designed by Park Air to introduce ATM professionals - managers, supervisors and engineers - to the fundamentals of Cybersecurity as they apply to an ATC communications network.

Bringing together general best practices from the Centre for Internet Security (CIS) with Park Air’s deep knowledge of the ATM industry.

The courses give professionals a set of tools and frameworks with which to asses Cybersecurity risk and make informed decisions.
